[FIX]HOW TO FREE UP HDD SPACE AFTER WINDOWS 10 INSTALLATION

10:04
Anyone who has installed the latest  version of Microsoft's flagship operating system,Windows 10 will tell you that Microsoft Did a good job in delivering a solid Operating system unlike the shambles that was windows 8,And subsequently Windows 8.1,the former that was meant to fix all the things that windows 8 fell short of..And it wasn't any better.
Until Windows 10 came along.

It Has to be the best operating system in along time from Microsoft.I haven't had any issues ever since I Installed it.Its been 7 Months of Problem free experience.
The only issue Has to be Deleting the windows.old folder in your C; Drive..Essentially when you install windows 10,Microsoft gives you a month for you to decide whether  you want to give windows 10 a try or go back to your previous OS(Look away now Gamers)
This means there are actually not one but two operating systems on your Machine. This though can be quite annoying when you are running out of space and you don't need the Windows.old folder.Getting rid of it will get you about 24 Gigs of storage..Twenty-Effin Four gigs are you kidding me!!
Anyway,Today I'll be showing you how to reclaim that storage.

1-First open up your File Explorer and navigate to Your Default OS Drive..In my case its C:Drive

Right Click on it and select Properties

2-After Properties Opening up,Click on Disk clean up as shown below

3-Then let it scan your HDD

4-Next click on Clean Up system files And let it scan yet again.

5-Once its done scanning,Tick on all the Boxes including previous windows installation

6-Next just click on the okay button at the bottom..If it asks for confirmation just click OK.

7-That's it,Windows will start Cleaning up the drive and you will get back your Storage

This will free up space to store more important Stuff..Come back for more Tips and Tricks In windows 10 and Android OS.Subscribe for more

OPT OUT OF WINDOWS10 UPGRADES

12:42
A number of Windows 7 users were taken by surprise this weekend when their operating systems started to automatically upgrade to Windows 10, causing hardware and software issues for some.
Problems Reported by users included hardware drivers no longer working after the upgrade, software incompatibilities, and users getting large bills for using several gigabytes of cellular data.
Microsoft came under pressure last September for quietly downloading Windows 10 components onto users' computers in preparation for a later upgrade, taking up storage space and eating into data caps.
The company has since published Instructions for users who want to opt out of the upgrade. One method is to install the KB3065987 and KB3065988 updates that enable a new setting meaning Windows Update will not detect, download or attempt to install the Windows 10 upgrade.
Users comfortable with editing the Registry system settings database in Windows can also add the DWORD value DisableOSUpgrade = 1 to the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate subkey.
Some users have reported success with declining the upgrade offer, although the last notification only gives users one hour before a decision must be made. Declining Microsoft's end user license agreement should also stop the upgrade and revert the computer back to the previous version of Windows.
It is also possible to downgrade to Windows 7 or 8.1 within 31 days of upgrading to Windows 10.
Domain-joined computers running Windows 7 and 8.1 Professional Editions are not subject to the enforced upgrade, nor are enterprise-licensed systems.
Microsoft made it clear last October that it wanted users to upgrade from Windows 7 and 8.1 to 10 as soon as possible.
Windows and devices group president Terry Myerson said at the time "application compatiblity and kinds have been worked out of Windows 10" thanks to early release adopters and developers.

HOW TO MANUALLY INSTALL MTK USB VCOM DRIVERS ON WINDOWS

15:37
A Lot of People have encountered a challenge when Flashing firmware or Factory Images for Most MTK Smart Phones like Tecno,Infinix,Injoo and the like because of a lack of USB Mediatek Vcom Drivers in their Computers.
These Drivers are very important because they enable your Computer or laptop to communicate with your phone when Its switched off.Without them, when you load SP Flash Tool,Or your preferred flashing Tool like Piranha box for .bin images,It will remain at 0%.
In This step by tutorial,Im gonna show you how to install The USB Vcom Drivers On windows and Especially windows 10 though this can still work on other Versions Of Windows.

1-First we have to un install all MTK Preloader drivers from your system for a clean re-install..This is particularly useful if you had tried to install them before and they didnt work..For this we are going to have to use a small application called USB Deview.Go ahead and grab it depending on your System Bus width whether 32 bit or 64 bit..Links are below

    64 bit-https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0_iL-H7UsK8QnB2blhZZXhmVkU&usp=sharing

                          or

Once your PC has restarted,Head over To Trouble shoot,Then Advanced Options then to start up options..Remember do not click on any other part once inside the recovery Menu..Once in start up menu, click restart then 7 Or F7..This is to disable signature verification Which Microsoft Enforces on drivers,That they need to be digitally Signed before you can install them.

3-After your pc has started,Head over to your device manager

Once It has opened up,Click on your user name..In my case its Tim..Immediately click on The Action Tab above it and add Legacy Hardware.

4-Once in the Add hardware Wizard,Click on next

Thereafter,Install Hardware That I Manually select from a list(Advanced) then click on Next

5-Click on show all devices then Click Next
There after Click on next and Navigate To the folder where you had extracted the USB VCOM Drivers..The Link is below
Vcom-https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0_iL-H7UsK8dUFZT2UxdUUweFE&usp=sharing

7-On the next screen click on Mediatek Preloader USB Vcom Port then click on Next.

8-Click On Install Then next

9-It will ask for a warning but just click On Install anyway. After successful installation,It Will give you an error that the device cannot start,Simply ignore it.

FIX  WINDOWS 10 LOST POWER ICON

Recently,While casually browsing On My Lenovo G-500 Laptop, running on windows 10 I Noticed My Power Icon Missing!!This had me scratching my head for a moment because This is one of the most important Components  of My Laptop..Of course after Ram..Without This, how does Microsoft expect me to know my power is low?Do they want it shutting down on me in the middle of GTA V!!

I Thought recently installed updates were the culprit so naturally I Thought a simple reboot would fix the issue..On booting up,there still was no power menu icon and this made me furious for a moment..I thought It was system icon turned off in settings..I headed there but alas! it was grayed out,Along with The location Icon.I Was at odds now.
After a bit of Checking up the issue on Google,I realized The issue was affecting a couple of people so if you are at the same predicament as me,Worry not because I have a fix to prevent you from pulling your hair out..All you need is a little patience and some brains.

1-First head over to your Device Manager

2-Open up Device manager and Head to Batteries

3-Left Click on Microsoft AC Adapter and click on Disable

4-After Disabling,Go back to your User name in device manager. In My Case it is Tim.Click on it and then On Action on top and scan for hardware changes

5-Next Go back to batteries, like in step 3 And then enable

That's it you would now have Your battery icon back on your task bar.No Registry edits,no software downloaded
